On Tuesday, June 13, from noon to 1 p.m., the Employee Wellness Team will host a financial wellness workshop on handling credit/debt wisely. David Dees, Ph.D., of Guilford Lake, Ohio, has been selected to serve as dean and chief administrative officer of the Kent State University Columbiana County campuses. He will provide overall leadership of Kent State University at East Liverpool and Kent State University at Salem, two of the Regional Campuses in the university’s eight-campus system. Dees currently serves as interim dean of the Columbiana County campuses, a position he has held since July 1, 2016. He began serving as the permanent dean on June 1, 2017.

With a goal of becoming one of the nation’s top public universities in aeronautics and engineering education and research, the Kent State University Board of Trustees approved changing the name of the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology to the College of Aeronautics and Engineering.
The change better reflects the expansion of the college’s programs and accentuates its highly trained and sought-after graduates who go on to work for commercial airlines, corporate flight departments, the military and the Federal Aviation Administration.
