Three Kent State University student business owners recently competed against each other and three other startup teams from around Northeast Ohio. Of the six businesses that were finalists in ProtoTech: Pitch, the Incubator at MAGNET’s technology start-up pitch competition, half were founded by Kent State students.
Kent State University’s Office of Institutional Advancement now offers a new way for faculty and staff to request alumni data for official university business.
Only faculty and staff can request alumni data, which can be used for such purposes as accreditation surveys, event invitations or department mailings. All requests are reviewed by an advancement staff member, who will follow up to clarify details and deliver the data.
Sara Harper, exercise physiology graduate student at Kent State University, won the inaugural 2015 Midwest President’s Cup Award at the Midwest American College of Sports Medicine Conference for her research on the comparison of strength and aerobic capacity imbalances in lower limbs.
This was the first year for the President’s Cup Award, created for the Midwest American College of Sports Medicine Conference. This award is given to the top graduate student presentation, poster or oral at each regional conference.
