Although all Beyond Compliance training information is sent to all faculty and staff, tenure-track and full-time nontenure track faculty members are not required (but strongly encouraged) to complete the training. All staff (including adjunct faculty) are required to complete at least two hours of Beyond Compliance training each fiscal year (July 1-June 30).
Join presenter Daron Larson on June 19 from noon-1 p.m. as he helps participants learn to identify financial goals and develop a plan to reach them. This workshop will include worksheets that participants can use in their daily lives. Tracking spending, prioritizing expenses and incorporating goals into one’s everyday spending plan (and more!) will be discussed. Topic areas include:

The Kent State Board of Trustees voted June 6 to transform the former School of Art building into a new state-of-the-art, student-centered Design Innovation Hub and Dining facility.

The events of May 4, 1970, placed Kent State University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Kent State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
