The Biennial Alumni Exhibition seeks to bring together and highlight the wide array of talented alumni throughout the eighty-plus year history of the School of Art. This years' (inaugural) juror is Wendy Earle, Curator, Akron Art Museum. The show will be on display January 17th through February 21st in the CVA Gallery (325 Terrace Drive, Kent, Ohio). The School Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University is excited to announce their latest exhibition: “Board Stretcher,” featuring work by artist Eli Gfell. “Board Stretcher” explores exhibit design and the support structures of an exhibition space. “Board Stretcher” will be on display at the KSU Downtown Gallery (141 East Main Street, Kent, Ohio) from January 17 through March 22, 2025.Opening Reception: Jan. 24, 5-7 p.m.

Week One of the M.F.A. Exhibition takes place April 1-4, 2025, with an artist reception on April 4, from 5-7 p.m. Week one will feature artists Austin Peer, Chungho Lyu, Caroline Perkison, Danicko Rivera, Atoosa Fadaei and Brandon Hoida. The B.F.A. Senior Thesis Exhibition includes the thesis work of every graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts student in the School of Art. The exhibition will be on view in the Center for the Visual Arts from April 15-25, 2025 with a reception on April 25 from 5-7 p.m. This exhibit is presented with support from the Ohio Arts Council.

“Tributary: Students & Kathleen Browne” will be on view in the KSU Downtown Gallery April 18 through May 31, 2025. This exhibition explores part of the history and legacy of Jewelry, Metals and Enameling at Kent State University.
