Kent State University to Showcase “Board Stretcher” by Eli Gfell

The School Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University is excited to announce their latest exhibition: “Board Stretcher,” featuring work by artist Eli Gfell.

“Board Stretcher” explores exhibit design and the support structures of an exhibition space.

“I'm at a point in my trajectory as an artist where I'm being pulled in different directions which are all interesting and important to me, but it can be tough to know where I should be focusing my attention. The only path forward is to do all of it and see what happens,” said Gfell.

Gfell earned a B.F.A. in painting and sculpture from Kent State University in 2014. “Board Stretcher” will be on display at the KSU Downtown Gallery from January 17 through March 22, 2025. There will be an opening reception on January 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. This exhibit is free and open to the public.

This exhibit has been brought to you with support from the Ohio Arts Council.
