KSU Galleries Exhibition: "Board Stretcher" by Eli Gfell

The School Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University is excited to announce their latest exhibition: “Board Stretcher,” featuring work by artist Eli Gfell. “Board Stretcher” explores exhibit design and the support structures of an exhibition space. “Board Stretcher” will be on display at the KSU Downtown Gallery (141 East Main Street, Kent, Ohio) from January 17 through March 22, 2025.Opening Reception: Jan. 24, 5-7 p.m.

Biennial Alumni Exhibition

The Biennial Alumni Exhibition seeks to bring together and highlight the wide array of talented alumni throughout the eighty-plus year history of the School of Art. This years' (inaugural) juror is Wendy Earle, Curator, Akron Art Museum. The show will be on display January 17th through February 21st in the CVA Gallery (325 Terrace Drive, Kent, Ohio). Opening Reception: Jan.17, 5-7 p.m.

"Traveling Stanzas" Exhibit

"Traveling Stanzas" is presented in celebration of 40 years of the Wick Poetry Center at Kent State University and curated by Annie Cyrus. The exhibit runs Aug.20 through Oct. 12, 2024. Admission is free and open to the public at the KSU Downtown Gallery.

“Continuum: The Painting of Charles Basham” Exhibit

The School of Art Collection and Galleries presents: “Continuum: The Painting of Charles Basham.” "Continuum" features 14 oil paintings and pastels, an exclusive video interview with the artist and a full color catalog that will be available for purchase. This exhibit will also include the work of eight former students and five of the artists Basham feels were most influential in his career as a painter.Read More
