Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE)
- The Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) is a research-practice partnership bringing together faculty and academic leaders who believe that the search for best practices begins with sound data--data that make the recruitment and management of faculty talent, and their own leadership, more effective. COACHE, based at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, enrolled its first cohort of institutional partners in the 2005-06 academic year.
The Chronicle of Higher Education - Great Colleges to Work For
- The annual Great Colleges to Work For survey was administered March 14 through April 15 and compiled by ModernThink LLC for The Chronicle. All survey-related content in this issue, including college presidents’ statements about what makes their institution a great place to work, was provided by ModernThink, which drew institutional data from the colleges and the U.S. Department of Education.
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
- Unlike rankings and prestige measures such as entering student achievement scores, which are difficult to change and bear little relation to educational effectiveness, NSSE results provide institutions and boards with measures that matter to student learning and development and that are amenable to intervention and improvement.
