CYBERSECURITY
If you don’t know much about the field of cybersecurity—but wish you did—then this may be the workshop for you. In this era of omnipresent cyber threats, knowing about cybersecurity is critically important to organizations, managers and employees. Yet, the subject is so complex and dynamic that it can be a challenge to know where to start.
This workshop develops a broad foundation for those new to the topic from a business/manager’s point of view. No prior knowledge is assumed. It includes coverage of what cybersecurity is, how to identify and protect information assets and apply effective countermeasures to threats. We will cover what a manager needs to know about hardware, software and networking as it relates to cybersecurity. Main topics include business continuity, disaster recovery, common cybersecurity policies, training topics, types of attacks, countermeasures, operational challenges and legal aspects of cybersecurity.
