It seems like new social media platforms are being launched every day. For businesses seeking to utilize digital marketing – particularly on social media - it can be daunting to determine which platforms to take advantage of. Is Facebook still relevant? Is there still an active audience on Twitter? How can TikTok be used to drive business?

In this workshop, students will dive into consumers’ most utilized social media platforms and learn what each platform offers in terms of a business’s ability to promote its products and services. Since not all platforms are equal, this workshop will cover how to focus on strategic placements that will help business reach their goals. Students will finish the workshop with an understanding of the various platforms as well as tips on how to incorporate the relevant channels into their company’s marketing strategy. Students will also learn about tools and how they can help teams of all sizes deploy social media marketing in an effective and cost-efficient way.

This workshop will also cover the types of content that drive engagement with audiences. Students will learn how influencers, sponsored content, content marketing, and other strategies are shaping the ways companies engage with consumers on social media.
