Biography

Bill Edgar, Ph.D., is an adjunct instructor for both the Knowledge Management program and Library and Information Science degree programs. Edgar has extensive experience teaching in the field of Library and Information Science. He has taught Business Information Sources, the Planning and Evaluation of Library Services, and a seminar in the Management of Libraries. Prior to teaching at Kent State, Edgar taught courses in the field of Library and Information Science at Missouri State University, the University of Arizona, and the University of Alabama.  

Edgar’s research interests lie in the strategic management of corporations and their competitive competencies. He has multiple publications on the management of libraries and other organizations. He has worked as a research and instructional librarian, government information librarian, an academic library manager, and a corporate professional.
