Biography

Christina Bonner, Ph.D., M.L.I.S., has been an adjunct instructor at Kent State's iSchool since 2016. She currently teaches LIS 60601 Reference Sources and Information Services in the MLIS program. In addition to teaching at Kent State, Bonner works full-time at Ohio Dominican University as Reference, Instruction, and Web Services Librarian. Before starting at ODU in 2003, she received an M.A. and Ph.D. in Germanic Languages and Literatures. At ODU, she serves as a generalist in reference, with strengths in the humanities, business, theology, health, and natural sciences and provides information literacy instruction to undergraduates and graduates. In addition to coordinating Reference and Instruction Services, including reference collection development, she also serves as the administrator for the library's chat reference platform, LibraryH3lp, creates LibGuides, and uses her knowledge of CMS, LMS, HTML, and CSS to help maintain the library's web presence.
