Columbiana County Rising Scholars are truly reaching for the stars! Program Director Dr. Jessica Paull just learned that the hygiene kits scholars made last year through the NASA HUNCH program are headed into space. They will be delivered to the International Space Station, but the specific date and mission has not been announced. The scholars, in grades 7 through 10, received NASA training to learn best practices for quality assurance and proper safety documentation throughout the construction process. In this post-pandemic world, remote work is one element that has hung on, but there are mixed emotions about it. Employees tend to like it, but some employers have concerns. A recent Crain’s Cleveland article, “Bosses dislike work-from-home but suspect they are stuck with it” discussed how remote work is changing the workplace environment and culture, but the article suggests remote and hybrid work schedules are here to stay despite some opposition. Two Kent State University professors who do research in this space weigh in on this discussion. Catrina Johnson, Ph.D., an assista...
How long are my assessment results valid for?
Your results are only valid for a single application cycle.
How is Casper evaluated?
Casper is scored by a diverse group of human raters. Each section of a test is scored by a different rater. The group of raters reflects the diversity of the population. All raters are extensively trained, vetted, and invested in the future of the profession. The Acuity Insights team has numerous quality assurance measures in place to ensure the integrity of scores assigned by our raters.
Can I reschedule my test date?
Yes. There will be a $25 rescheduling fee. For the Professional Pilot program, there are only three possible Casper test dates; if you miss all of them, there is no opportunity for a make-up exam.
What is covered by the assessment fee?
The Casper fee covers administration of the assessment by live, highly trained reviewers, the ability to log in and complete system requirement checks before your test to avoid technical difficulties, an extensive test-preparation site, and a rapid response turnaround. Students will receive results of their tests within two weeks.
Are there any additional test dates outside of those provided?
No. These are the only opportunities to take the Casper test for Kent State University’s Casper assessment. We encourage you to schedule early and make every effort to keep your session.
