Scott MacPherson, DMA, conductor and director of choral studies, led the Kent State University Orchestra in rehearsals this week for what he called a “huge” concert this Sunday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m. with the Kent Chorus and Chorale.  Performing works for both full symphony orchestra and strings, the Kent State University Orchestra is open to students of any undergraduate and graduate major at Kent State. In this season of celebration and giving thanks, Salem native Lori Singer-Bare is grateful for being in the right place at the right time, again.  Singer-Bare is finishing her first semester as a lecturer in the criminology and justice studies program at Kent State University at Trumbull and as an instructor at Kent State's Police Academy.  After graduating from Hiram College in 2009, Singer-Bare enlisted in the United States Army. Plans from College of Architecture and Environmental Design students for redevelopment in the city of Warren.
