How is Casper evaluated?
Each section of the test is scored by a unique rater. This means that every applicant is assessed by different human raters, who come from a variety of working backgrounds and are intended to represent the general population of the country in which you will go on to study.
The resulting Casper score is made up of several unique rater impressions. Your responses are also completely anonymized, meaning they only receive your reply and are not provided with any personal information (e.g., your name, age, photo, etc).
Can I reschedule my test date?
Yes. There will be a $25 rescheduling fee. For the Professional Pilot program, there are only three possible Casper test dates; if you miss all of them, there is no opportunity for a make-up exam.
What is covered by the assessment fee?
The Casper fee covers administration of the assessment by live, highly trained reviewers, the ability to log in and complete system requirement checks before your test to avoid technical difficulties, an extensive test-preparation site, and a rapid response turnaround. Students will receive results of their tests within two weeks.
Are there any additional test dates outside of those provided?
No. These are the only opportunities to take the Casper test for Kent State University’s Casper assessment. We encourage you to schedule early and make every effort to keep your session.
When are the Casper testing dates?
The Casper test will be offered on the following dates, which are firm as they are offered by Acuity Insights, not Kent State. If you wish to continue with the PROP application, you must take the Casper exam on one of these dates. The exam lasts two hours.
When do I need to register for Casper?
Your admittance letter from Kent State University will include a link to register for your assessment. We encourage you to register at that time.

Casper measures students on the following aspects of social intelligence and professionalism: collaboration, communication, empathy, fairness, ethics, motivation, problem solving, resilience, and self-awareness.
