Kent State University is offering a community course that deals with the historical, cultural, social and political contexts of events before, during and after the May 4, 1970, shootings. More than 100 attendees participated in Kent State University’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering’s (CAE) Girls in Aviation Day Saturday at the Kent State Airport. The global event is sponsored by Women in Aviation International (WAI) to introduce and encourage girls to pursue careers in aeronautics and aerospace.
