Three faculty members from the Kent State Salem Campus recently were recognized by the university’s Office of Student Accessibility Services. Tim McFadden, academic program director for business; Ruth Ann Mullen, assistant professor of nursing; and Andrew Pfrenger, assistant professor of English, were each recognized by the Kent State Office of Student Accessibility Services for “going above and beyond” to provide accommodations and assisting students with disabilities in their academic success. Hannah Dobbins, a senior studying radiation therapy at the Kent State Salem Campus, recently was awarded a $5,000 scholarship from the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.  Dobbins, of Tallmadge, received the ASRT’s Varian Radiation Therapy Advancement Scholarship, made possible by a grant from Varian Medical Systems. The company is based in Palo Alto, Calif., and is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of equipment and software for treating cancer with radiation therapy.
