Sam Olson is beginning her final year in the Veterinary Technology program at Kent State University at Trumbull. In doing so, she has decided to make her final fall semester a memorable one. After seeing four one-week-old kittens that were dropped off at the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, she decided to put her acquired skills into action. Kent State University’s Dining Services recently hosted its annual Taste of Home competition and announced the winning dish: a turkey chili recipe submitted by Debbie McKinney, a Kent State parent. Kent State University officially launched the University Stewards program this semester. The program provides students with stewards who work to serve as a point of resource, referral and support. University Stewards, a collaboration between the Division of Student Affairs and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, was initially tested in the 2016 Spring Semester with a class of 15 stewards.
