Join us Saturday, Apr. 20, as we celebrate one of Kent State’s greatest educational resources. Proceeds from this annual event go towards the Robin McManus Scholarship, which supports the Kent State University Child Development Center (CDC) by providing tuition assistance so more children in our community can access the enriching experience of a CDC education. The event will include heavy appetizers, drinks and a cash raffle.
The Cost of Poverty Experience (COPE) is a 2.5-hour simulation that explores the lived experience of poverty firsthand through the eyes of real families. The experiential nature of this training helps Kent State University staff and faculty more deeply understand the human and systemic impacts of poverty. Additionally, this event will provide space to discuss ways in which individuals and offices can collaborate in order to best support students facing basic need barriers.

Join Kent State Lacrosse at Dix Stadium for Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night this Tuesday, Mar. 19 as the Flashes take on Pitt at 4 p.m. Upperclassmen student-athletes will honor their MVPS (Most Valuable Professors) during halftime and the first 50 fans in attendance will receive a free hot dog.
