You are invited to attend the 8th Annual 2026 Education Elevated (e2) Conference on Friday, Feb. 27, from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. This free conference brings together KSU faculty and staff to share knowledge, skills, and teaching strategies that elevate student learning through the thoughtful use of technology in service of effective teaching. This year’s theme, Human-Centered Education: Accessibility, AI, and Innovative Instruction, focuses on creativity, evidence-based design, responsible AI use, and centering access to support meaningful learning experiences. 

Call for nominations: Advisor Impact Award

Nominations are now open for the Kent State University Advisor Impact Award! Sponsored by University Advising, the Advisor Impact Award is a quarterly recognition given to one outstanding academic advisor who has made a significant positive impact on the lives and academic success of their students. This award celebrates advisors who embody the Kent State University Advising Guiding Principles. Nominations for the award close Friday, Jan. 16. 

Lithium battery safety

From laptops and smartphones to e-bikes and scooters, lithium-ion batteries power much of our daily lives. But did you know that improper use or disposal of these batteries can pose serious safety risks? As part of their commitment to campus safety and sustainability, the Environmental Health and Safety is raising awareness about how to use and handle lithium batteries responsibly. 

Kent Campus Spring 2026 biometric screenings announced

The Employee Wellness team is pleased to announce that the Spring 2026 biometric screening dates have been scheduled. View the complete list of dates and additional information on the Wellness website, and be sure to register for your appointment using the BeWell Portal. Please also note that screenings will no longer take place in Heer Hall and will now be held in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center seminar rooms.
