Kent State’s Office of Graduate Admissions will offer Free Application Week for all domestic applicants starting on Monday, January 12, and concluding on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Domestic applicants who submit a graduate degree admission application between January 12-19 (even if incomplete) will not be charged an application fee. The application fee will be automatically waived - no special code is required to participate.

On Friday, December 6th, students in Dr. Kelsen LaBerge’s Introduction to Engineering course demonstrated their Hovercraft projects. This project serves as a class capstone, where students in the course were divided into teams that must successfully design, build, and fly a hovercraft that adheres to a specified budget. Teams collaborate to transform theoretical knowledge into working prototypes, demonstrating real-world problem-solving abilities.
