Campus preparations are underway for Fall 2026 Move-In as thousands of new and returning students arrive on campus soon. Official move-in days will take place from Wednesday, Aug. 19, through Sunday, Aug. 23. Faculty and staff should anticipate increased traffic along main campus thoroughfares, particularly surrounding residence halls. Several parking lots will be reserved exclusively for move-in unloading during peak hours. To support the incoming class, the university is recruiting volunteers for Movers and Groovers and Golf Cart Shuttle drivers.

So, what are your values? Where do they come from? And how do you live them at work? Discovering our Values is a learning session where you can reflect on these questions and more! Join us in-person on the Kent State Stark Campus for this guided reflection experience on Oct. 20, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. All faculty and staff are welcome!

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, Oct. 21, as we celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the Bowman Breakfast with a special presentation by Sarah Spinner, J.D., Ph.D. Sarah will share her Kent State story and reflect on the relationships, experiences and connections that have shaped her journey and her work at the Kent State University Museum. Since its inception in 1963, this event has brought together university and city leaders to address important community issues and strengthen the partnership between Kent State and the city of Kent. 

New York-based artist Saya Woolfalk creates work that blends science fiction, anthropology and biology to explore how we see ourselves and the world around us.Her four-day residency at Kent State will bring together students and faculty from the College of the Arts and the College of Architecture and Environmental Design for a workshop, roundtable discussion, graduate studio visits and a free public lecture. Join us for the lecture on Friday, Oct. 16, from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 165 of the Center for the Visual Arts.
