Parents & Families Game Day Experience
Parents and family members are invited to experience the “Kent G.R.I.T.” during the football team’s first home game. Come root on the team as they take on the Saint Francis Red Flash on Saturday, September 7! Kick-off is scheduled for 2:30 pm at Dix Stadium.
The Game Day Experience event is a great way to connect with family, have fun, boost fan spirit, and support the Flashes football team. Tickets to the event are required and include entry to the football game and tailgate. The cost of admission is $25 for family members 3 years of age and older, and $7 for KSU students (this price covers the cost to attend the tailgate). All seats will be general admission.
Ticket Sale
Tickets for the game and tailgate can be purchased until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 30. Please note that KSU students get in free to regular season home games. However, a ticket for the tailgate must be purchased for a student to attend. All tickets will be delivered electronically to the individual making the purchase the week of September 2. Please note all ticket sales are FINAL. No refunds will be issued.
After Friday, August 30, only tickets to the game can be purchased. Please visit the Kent State University Ticket Office or call (330)-672-4455 Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Give-a-ways
The first 100 guests to check-in during the tailgate will receive a replica game day jersey! Please note sizes range from medium to x-large.
Tailgate
The tailgate will take place inside Dix Stadium at the North Platform beginning at 1:30 p.m. Hot dogs (vegan and/or gluten free options), chips and a drink will be provided.
Parking
Stadium parking lots open three hours prior to game time. Parking in the Dix Stadium east and west lots are accessible via permit or by paying $10 for cars, $20 for RVs and oversized vehicles on game day (cash only). Parking spaces are available on the day of the game on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additional parking is available in the lots on Summit Street west of Route 261free of charge. Shuttle service is available from those lots.
