Mission

Kent State Parents and Families Engagement elevates student success by supporting and connecting with parents, families, and supporters through intentional programming and communications to promote and ensure their students’ transformational experiences.

Vision

Kent State Parents and Families Engagement aims to create dynamic, lifelong connections between parents, families, supporters, the university, and the community through respect, kindness, and purpose.

Goals:

Provide an opportunity for parents, family members, and supporters to: 

• Be and remain informed about university services and opportunities as well as dates, deadlines, and changes in policy or procedure that affect students;

• Implement and support services which benefit students and improve the overall quality of campus life;

• Provide families and supporters the opportunity and means to share ideas and concerns with the university community and each other;

• Implement opportunities for parents, families, and supporters to be engaged as strategic partners in student retention, persistence, and graduation.
