Porthouse Theatre's 2021 Season continues with "BKLYN the Musical," running July 8-24. "BKLYN" is directed and choreographed by Porthouse's executive producer Eric van Baars and music directed by Ed Ridley.
Subscriptions and tickets are on sale now via phone at 330-672-3884 or online at www.porthousetheatre.com. All subscriptions will be sold as Flex Subscriptions at a discounted rate of $75. All tickets in the Center, Left Center, and Right Center sections will be sold at a flat rate of $35 per ticket. All tickets in the House Left and House Right sections will be sold at a flat rate of $30 per ticket. Porthouse Theatre is located adjacent to Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH at 3143 O'Neil Rd.
With book, music, and lyrics by Mark Schoenfeld and Barri McPherson, "BKLYN" is a play within a play where a group of street performers weave together stories from their lives to tell the tale of a young woman arriving in Brooklyn to find the father she never knew.
Porthouse Theatre's production of "BKLYN the Musical" features Kirstin Henry as Brooklyn, Olivia Billings as Faith, Moriah Cary as Paradice, William A Porter as Taylor, Miguel Osborne as Streetsinger, and Dylan Berkshire and Maia Watts as City Weeds/Ensemble.
The "BKLYN the Musical" production team includes costume design by Suwatana (Pla) Rockland, lighting design by Cynthia R. Stillings, scenic design by Ben Needham, sound design by Parker Strong, prop management by Travis Daniel Williams, and technical direction by Devin Gallo. Barbara Kozlov is the stage manager, Tom Humes is the production stage manager, and Elijah Chase is the assistant director.
