Dear Members of the University Community,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Broghammer, Ph.D., as Kent State University’s new vice president for enrollment management, effective March 1. As a key member of the senior leadership team, he will provide overall executive leadership and management of the Division of Enrollment Management and lead a university-wide enrollment effort that centers around our students-first philosophy and is highly coordinated with, and responsive to, the needs of the colleges and campuses.
Sean joined Kent State in March 2020 as associate vice president for enrollment management, admissions after holding progressively responsible leadership roles in enrollment management and student affairs at the University of Northern Colorado. He became interim vice president for enrollment management on July 1, 2021, following the departure of Mary Parker, Ed.D. In his brief time at Kent State, he has led the development of the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan and the Flashes Go Further Program, among other initiatives.
His appointment follows a national search chaired by Melody Tankersley, Ph.D., senior vice president and provost. Our thanks to the colleagues who served as members of the search committee for moving effectively through this critical time in landing the fall 2022 class. Thanks to all who participated in the search process, including those who took part in campus interviews and shared their feedback.
Please join me in congratulating Sean upon his selection to this critical role and thanking him for his continued commitment to Kent State.
Sincerely,
Todd Diacon
President
