Leadership Changes and New Roles in the Regional Campus System

Dear colleagues,

The Regional Campus System of Kent State University is pleased to announce recent organizational changes and introduce key personnel overseeing several essential functional areas.

Each of our four Campus Deans/CAOs will now focus on two locations within the Regional Campus System, in addition to guiding the entire system toward a successful future:

  • Angela Spalsbury continues to work with our two Geauga Campus locations — the Geauga Campus (located in Burton) and the Twinsburg Academic Center.
  • Brad Bielski is now overseeing the East Liverpool Campus and the Tuscarawas Campus.
  • Bill Ayres manages the Ashtabula and Trumbull campuses.
  • Denise Seachrist now oversees the Salem Campus, in addition to the Stark Campus.

We also have four new Academic Vice Deans supporting the learning enterprise of the Regional Campus System. They are:

  • Tiffany Kiphart, Geauga Campus and Twinsburg Academic Center.
  • Stephen Minnick, East Liverpool and Tuscarawas campuses.
  • Adil Wadia, Ashtabula and Trumbull campuses.
  • Susan Rossi, Salem and Stark campuses.

In Business Operations, a dedicated team is working with an excellent group of staff based at the campuses to align and streamline business processes across the Regional Campus System. They include:

  • La Tarsha Miller, who is now serving as the Regional Campus System Budget Director.
  • Ronald Hoagland and Waliah Poto are Senior Business Managers, reporting to La Tarsha. They are responsible for implementing budgets at our eight teaching locations. Ron’s work is focused on Stark, Trumbull, Twinsburg and Geauga. Waliah will focus on Ashtabula, Tuscarawas, East Liverpool and Salem.

Additionally, the following changes have occurred within our Regional Campus System:

  • Denise Bartell joined last spring as the Senior Associate Vice President for Regional Campus System Faculty and Student Success. One of her main roles is overseeing a unified scheduling process for the Regional Campus System, assisted by:
  • Kevin Deemer, our new Course Scheduling and Assignment Administrator.
  • Jill Tripp and Gaye Blair are Course Scheduling and Assignment Coordinators, reporting to Kevin.

Please join me in welcoming everyone to their new or modified roles within the Kent State University Regional Campus System.
Peggy
