As part of our strategy to enhance research and scholarship at Kent State University, we are committed to closely tracking research-related data and ensuring the highest level of accuracy in reporting these data.

In the charts below we have assembled and shared data used to determine Kent State University’s Carnegie Classification and highlighted data utilized during a classification year. Briefly, data used in the classification calculations include research expenditures (meaning dollars spent, not dollars received) and number of doctoral degrees conferred.
