Services
We provide a number of services designed to ensure that your proposal is of the highest quality possible. Whether you are a first-time applicant or you have submitted many successful proposals, contact us for one or more of the following services:
Identifying External Funding Opportunities
The Office of Research Development (ORD) will help you find external funding opportunities from a variety of sources, including federal, state, non-profit, industry, and foreign funding agencies. If you would rather search on your own, we will show you how to get started in Pivot-RP, a subscription-based funding opportunity database.
In addition, ORD will assist you in contacting funding agencies and establishing constructive relationships with program officers.
Team Building/Matchmaking
Do you need a statistician, a faculty member with a particular skill set, a regional clinical collaborator, or a nationally-recognized consultant to improve your research team? ORD can help identify and facilitate meetings with these individuals so you can put together the best possible research team.
Budget Estimates
ORD provides budget estimates for white papers and letters of intent to external funding agencies that do not require a full Kuali record and internal approvals. Estimates are provided upon request and time-permitting on a first come, first serve basis.
Proposal Editing
ORD provides editing of proposal documents, primarily focusing on proposal abstracts and narratives. Editing is provided upon request and time-permitting on a first come, first serve basis.
Dedicated Assistance for Large-Scale, Complex Proposals
Contact us early when considering submission of large, complex proposals. For example, center or multi-project types of proposals take 6-12 months to prepare.
