Mateus Lampe Holovaty, Summer Course 2024 Student, Kent State Student
In June I participate in the Kent State University Pathways to a Semiconductor Career summer program. We saw the process involved to manufacture a semiconductor. We also were able to work at a real clean room where we developed some of the process learned in class, such as photolithography, dry plasma etching and atomic layer deposition. Besides that we have made some tours at Kent Displays to see a similar clean room facility and at Swagelok to see how their product is used in the semiconductor industry. We had some amazing industry professional that visited us, the main being Intel Corporation who are sponsoring this program. We also had good professor David Kirby and Flavia P.N Inbanathan. It was an amazing opportunity that I am glad that I did it and hope to someday use it in my field of study.
