Kent State’s unwavering commitment to supporting military-connected students has once again been recognized, as the institution earns the Military Friendly^Ⓡ School designation for the 15th consecutive year.

Brian Gliba, who left the Army as a captain, says he feels that Kent State supports veterans and has helped set him up for success.

Planting bulbs on Daffodil Hill has become part of Kent State's annual Veteran's Day Commemoration. 

The Kent State University community came together to celebrate its values and honor fallen veterans on Daffodil Hill.

Kent State University's annual Veterans Day Commemoration ceremonies begin at 11 a.m., Nov. 9 on the Student Green.

“Always Ready, Always There” is the motto of the National Guard. In many ways, this describes Kent State University’s Center for Adult and Veteran Services, too. For the 14th consecutive year, Kent State has been designated a Military Friendly^Ⓡ School.

The Kent State community paused from classes and work Nov. 10 to gather on the Student Green at Risman Plaza and show their respect as part of Veterans Day.

The designation recognizes schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military.

Kent State University continues to exemplify leadership in its mission to support students as the Kent Campus is designated as a Military Friendly® School for the 13th consecutive year in a row, earning a Gold award. In addition, Kent State University at Trumbull earned a Silver award.

Kent State University has landed a spot on the list of top schools for military-connected students according to the 2021 Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges.
