Kent State has climbed three spots, a 3% increase, on the Top Public Schools list. Kent State is the only Northeast Ohio institution on the Top Public Schools list. 

New Kent State University President Todd Diacon will serve as Kent State’s 2019 Homecoming Grand Marshal on Saturday, Sept. 21.

As Todd Diacon, Ph.D., steps into his new role as Kent State University’s 13th president, his schedule for his first day includes an early workout at the Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center, a breakfast with community leaders at the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center and a luncheon on campus with student leaders.

Throughout her time at Kent State University, Ya'el Courtney completed a Senior Honors Thesis/Project, authored several published peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at several national and international conferences. As she continues her education at Harvard University, she intends to conduct a significant amount of research focusing on psychiatric diseases.
