Short films from two Kent State digital media production students and three alumni will be shown this year at the 13th annual Short. Sweet. Film Fest., which takes place Feb. 28-March 3 at Atlas Cinemas Shaker in Cleveland, Ohio. Digital Media Production Associate Professor Scott Hallgren also will moderate a panel discussion at the event.

An updated scoring announcement has propelled the Kent State University Precision Flight Team to a 2nd place overall finish at the NIFA Region III Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference (SAFECON) and secured their invitation to the 2024 National NIFA SAFECON in May.

Kent State University’s Wick Poetry Center is collaborating on a new global poem to pay tribute to the liquid that sustains life.

“Dear Body of Water,” Wick’s newest collaboration with the University of Arizona’s Poetry Center, invites writers to speak to the bodies of water that have shaped their lives.

During his time at Kent State, Saban earned three letters in football and one in baseball from 1970 to 1972. In 1973, he was a graduate assistant coach and defensive assistant for the Flashes. He was inducted into the Kent State Varsity K Hall of Fame in 2015. 

Kent State alumna Alexus Kellow, '21, stationed with the U.S. Army in South Korea, began her master's program in the College of Public Health online.

Active military members are embracing online master’s degree programs in Kent State University’s College of Public Health for the flexibility and ease with which they can earn an advanced degree.
