Kent State University and the Kent State University Foundation are separate legal entities. This structure provides dedicated oversight for private gifts, helping ensure donor contributions are responsibly managed, invested and used according to their intended purpose. It also allows the foundation to focus exclusively on stewarding philanthropic resources for the long-term benefit of Kent State and its students.
