The success and growing popularity of Kent State University at Ashtabula's Flash Medical Center simulation over the past seven years led to addition of a second event during the 2023-2024 academic year. The unique, hands-on hospital simulation that allows area high school students interested in healthcare careers to experience a "day in the life" of an allied health professional welcomed a new group of participants on Feb. 16, 2024 at Robert S. Morrison Hall.
While each simulation features a new event in which a patient suffers an injury that necessitates a hospital visit, the most recent edition featured additional sessions for new academic programs in medical assisting and social work.
