Adiyana Sharag-Eldin, Ph.D
Biography
Ms. Sharag-Eldin graduated from Kent State University with a Ph.D. in Geography Department. She holds a Master of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Indonesia.
Ms. Sharag-Eldin joined Kent State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED) in 2021 as an Adjunct Professor for teaching Methods of Inquiry. She is also an instructor for Methods of Inquiry for Landscape Architecture (LAAB) students in the Spring Semesters of 2022 and 2023.
Prior to the teaching experience in CAED, as a doctoral student, she was an instructor at the Department of Geography, KSU. Before living in the USA, she also taught Research Methods as an Instructor at the University of Indonesia.
She has twenty years of professional practice in planning as a consultant and project manager with local Government planning organizations. For the last eleven years, she has worked at Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), a Metropolitan Planning Organization as a Senior Planner.
