Joe Silvestro

Joseph Silvestro is Adjunct Faculty for Interior Design in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Kent State University. He holds a Master of Arts in Visual Communication Design (2025) from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting (1996) from Washington University in St. Louis. His areas of interest include exhibition curation and design, printmaking, 20th century design and maker movements, furniture production and reproduction, industrial product design, and the integration of creative practice with civic engagement opportunities. Mr. Silvestro has exhibited his artwork in galleries in Newark, NJ, Beacon, NY, Cleveland, OH, St. Louis, MO, and Kent, OH. He will be the subject of a solo exhibition, The Polydisciplinary Lens, at Design Innovation Gallery at Kent this fall. Mr. Silvestro has long operated businesses that address the special needs of creative practitioners as they prepare to bring their work to market and is a member of the Creative Impact Network in Cleveland, OH.
