Stacie Burtelson
Biography
Stacie Burtelson is a designer, educator, and researcher. She holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Stacie formerly taught advanced digital design at the Mackintosh School of Architecture and design-build studios focused on humanitarian architecture at Judson University. Her design and research interests include deployable and transitional structures, modern material systems and methods of design-build fabrication, the communication of architectural form, and expanding design-based opportunities that engage students in issues of both global and local concerns.
Her recent lectures and published articles include topics of advancing humanitarian design-build pedagogy and the integration of digital fabrication within architectural education.
