Response to Tragedies

CAPS is profoundly saddened by the recent tragedies across our nation, including the despicable act of violence in Buffalo, New York, the unspeakable loss of youth and educators in Uvalde, Texas, and even closer to home, the symbol of hate recently discovered on the Kent Campus. As our community and nation attempts to process these horrific crimes, grieve the lives lost, and collectively works towards healing, CAPS would like to encourage you to reach out for support as well as extend support to others. CAPS is available to all students who have been affected by these tragedies and other acts of hate-based violence. Contact us at 330-672-2487 for immediate assistance, and for after-hours support, press option 3 to be connected with a clinician.
