Michelle Adkins
Biography
Michelle joined the Career Exploration & Development (CED) team in May 2019 and in August 2020 assumed a split position as Associate Director, Career Services with Kent State Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship and CED. Michelle provides leadership to students pursuing a career in the business industry as well as those seeking opportunities in health sciences. Michelle focuses her time working one-on-one with students providing career exploration and development advising as well as forging relationships with various faculty, staff, and academic departments on campus to best meet the needs of students. Michelle developed new campus relationships to provide career advising in remote locations on campus to better serve our students, as well as developing career programming opportunities.
Michelle also provides leadership to Career Exploration and Development’s Flashternship program and has worked with the KSU Alumni Association to recruit alumni as possible Flashternship hosts. In addition, Michelle teaches one of Kent State’s Career Navigation courses, helping students focus on career exploration efforts while leading a freshmen orientation class to help students acclimate to Kent State University.
