Veterans Benefits
The Post 9/11 GI Bill® provides military servicemembers and dependents with significant educational benefits, empowering you to earn an education. Kent State is here to support the program for you.
If you've served in active duty for at least 90 days after September 10, 2001, are still on active duty, or have been honorably discharged (or discharged with a service-connected disability) you could be eligible for benefits.
You can receive up to three years of education benefits after your release from active duty. This GI Bill® for veterans can also include payments for housing, books, and supplies.
Other bills and benefits can be explored on the VA's website including educational and career counseling.
GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government Web site at https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.
Be aware that you have rights pertaining to maintaining your catalog year when deployed. For those rights, reference section 2:80 of the Federal Student Aid Handbook.
