Communication Studies Sticker Contest
Attention COMM Students!
Here’s your chance to showcase your design skills and style by designing a laptop sticker for the School of Communication Studies.
Your job is to develop a sticker that shows the essence of Communication Studies. What is one thing that makes COMM stand out in your eyes? Your design should capture an iconic part of the COMM experience.
Design Tips
- Think vibrant! The sticker should be eye-catching.
- Keep it bold and simple. A great sticker conveys one clear idea.
- Make it clearly COMM. Your design should be instantly recognizable.
Before submitting your design, make sure you follow these rules:
- Who can enter? Current Kent State University students.
- Designs must be original, created by you, and free of copyrighted characters and assets.
- Use of Ai art is prohibited.
- Submit it in a usable file type. Your design can be created using any vector files (.ai, .eps, .svg), high-resolution rasters (300 dpi .png), Canva edit link, or similar. Design layers must be visible.
- Choose a CMYK color palette when possible.
- Entries must be no larger than 2”x2”. Design can be square or circular.
- Designs must not contain any Kent State University logos or official branding.
- Designs must not include any dates (e.g., "2026").
- No photographic images of identifiable people.
- Entries must be adaptable for printing as a laptop sticker (minor edits may be made for final production) and be supplied in a format that can be reproduced to a high quality.
- You can submit as many entries as you want!
- Include a small write-up about your sticker so the judges can understand your inspiration.

- Stickers will be available for free at every COMM event! Stop by and pick up your favorite!
- Voting:
- All eligible entries received during the contest period will be judged by a COMM Studies panel to determine three finalists.
- After the three finalists are determined, voting for the Grand Prize winner will happen via the Schools Social Media Platforms.
- The grand prize winner's design will be printed on a limited-edition sticker that will be distributed throughout the 2026-2027 school year and beyond, at the discretion of the School of Communication Studies.
Grand Prize:
- One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive one (1) $100 Sheetz® Gift Card.
