Kent State will host Virtual Commencement Recognition Ceremonies
A Message for Graduates from University Events and Protocol
Dear Fall Graduates,
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! Kent State University will recognize the accomplishments of the Fall Class of 2020 with a virtual commencement recognition ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. EDT at www.kent.edu/commencement. This will not replace the in-person commencement ceremony. All students who graduate this semester will be invited back to campus for commencement when it is deemed safe to do so.
During the virtual ceremony, you will hear from Kent State President Todd Diacon and Interim Senior Vice President and Provost Melody Tankersley. Each of you will receive individual name recognition and participate in the conferral of degrees and tassel turning ceremony.
Please be sure to complete the commencement RSVP in Flashline between Sept. 22 - Nov. 16 so that you receive the commencement package. The commencement package will include a mortarboard, commemorative tassel, alumni pin and diploma cover. Additionally, honor cords will be mailed separately to eligible graduates.
As you get closer to graduation, you will have questions about how to RSVP, get tickets, where to purchase your cap and gown and more. The answers to these questions and many more can be found in the Online Checklist for Graduation and Commencement.
