Add the Video to Your Website

1. Copy the URL of the video from YouTube or Vimeo.
   1. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmlg--G8dg4
2. Place your cursor where you want the video to appear.
3. Select the Embed Video icon (play button icon)
4. Paste the URL in the area provided, it should look similar to as follows:
5. Click Save. A graphic the size of the video will appear in the Body field when in edit mode.  In view mode the video will be viewable.
6. Click Save at the bottom of the page to save the page.

Obtain Transcripts or Closed Captioning

Videos are considered content and therefore must be captioned for accessibility purposes.

If the video host allows, you must provide closed captioning for your videos. If captioning is not available, transcribe the video and provide a link to the transcribed content.

YouTube is recommended because you can create and edit captions. Vimeo and Kaltura also provide captioning.

For videos uploaded to Kaltura, the embed code available there should be added to Drupal in the source view.  Kaltura is password protected and follows the Fair Use Act which protects and keeps the content private.
