EHHS Doctoral Alumna Receives AERA Award

Congratulations to Joanna Dickert, Ph. D., the 2022 recipient of American Educational Research Association's Advanced Studies of National Databases Special Interest Group Dissertation award.

Previously a student in the School of Foundations, Leadership and Administration, Dickert's dissertation is titled "An Examination of the Effects of Participation in High-impact Practices Using Propensity Score Analysis with Structural Equation Modeling."

The national competition included applicants who graduated between Jan. 1,  through Dec. 31, 2021, and used national or international databases in their dissertation study.

AERA is a national research society that strives to advance knowledge about education, encourage scholarly inquiry related to education, and promote the use of research to improve education and serve the public good.

Students from East Tech High School in Cleveland visted Kent State University to explore STEM fields and learn about available interdisciplinary opportunities.

Eight EHHS professors were recently selected by various Kent State student-athletes as their Most Valuable Professors.

The Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs program recently celebrated its 60th anniversary at the Kent State Hotel and Conference Center.
