Congratulations to Rossana Torres, a graduate student studying Special Education in the School of Lifespan, Development and Educational Sciences, has been awarded the Mary Ann Stephens and John R. Graham Award for Excellence in Graduate Research and Scholarship.
The Mary Ann Stephens and John R. Graham Award for Excellence in Graduate Research and Scholarship is presented annually to a doctoral student underrepresented in their discipline. Normally, one award is made each year and is based on the merit of the applicant's contribution to research and scholarship.
Recipients receive a $500 monetary award.
The Graduate College at Kent State University administers a number of fellowships and awards for new and continuing students. A University Fellowship is an arrangement in which financial support is given to a graduate student to pursue their degree without any obligation on the part of the student to engage in service. A scholarship recognizes past achievements and meritorious performance.
