Steps for Writing a good Proposal
- Research agency for which you are submitting a proposal
- Follow the guidelines laid out by the funder (i.e. font style/size, page limit, sections needed to address, budget restrictions)
- Double-check the budget to make sure it is realistic and there are no math errors
- Explicitly state goals, objectives, and hypotheses
- Clearly explain the aims of the research for an audience who may be unfamiliar with your field of work/research
- Cite the latest and most relevant research
- Learn from experience- inquire about opportunities for feedback from funder if proposal is rejected
