The annual Veterans Day ceremony will take place Thursday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. in the Kent Student Center Kiva. A flag-raising ceremony will commence outside the Kent Student Center Kiva at 10:30 a.m.
The guest speaker for this year’s Veterans Day ceremony is Kevin Lacz, a decorated former U.S. Navy SEAL and author of The New York Times best-selling memoir The Last Punisher. He also is the co-star of the blockbuster movie American Sniper, starring Bradley Cooper. Refreshments will be served.

At Kent State, we want to honor the celebration of our Native American and Indigenous culture by developing a calendar encompassing all the university events that are relevant to Native American Heritage Month. The Native American Heritage Month Planning Committee is welcoming university divisions, departments and student organizations to begin submitting their programming, activities and events to the University Events Calendar to be featured on the Native American Heritage Month Website.
