The Harambee Awards celebration, formerly known as the Social Responsibility and Diversity Awards, recognizes students, faculty, alumni and community supporters who provide outreach support and programs focused on increasing the success of underrepresented and/or underserved students at Kent State.

Encourage your undergraduate students to submit abstracts of their research, professional practice inquiry or creative endeavors for showcase in the fifth annual Undergraduate Symposium on Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity to be held on April 5.
Submissions will be collected from Nov. 1 through Feb. 15.

Online final grading for fall 2017 Second Five Weeks (F2) begins Thursday, Nov. 2, via FlashFAST. Grading also is now available for any fall 2017 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Any final grades for fall 2017 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow. These fall 2017 courses will be available in the Workflow on Thursday, Nov. 9.

At Kent State, we want to honor the celebration of our Native American and Indigenous culture by developing a calendar encompassing all the university events that are relevant to Native American Heritage Month. The Native American Heritage Month Planning Committee is welcoming university divisions, departments and student organizations to begin submitting their programming, activities and events to the University Events Calendar to be featured on the Native American Heritage Month Website.
