Counseling and Psychological Services 

Counseling and Psychological Services offers mental health support for students, including up to six free counseling sessions (in-person or virtual), individual and group counseling, psychological testing and treatment, free workshops, and skill-building sessions.

Eligibility:

  • Must have access to a laptop and wifi for virtual services. 
  • Must be a Kent State student to receive the 6 free service.

Counseling Center

Located at 325 White Hall on the Kent State Campus the center offers individual and group counseling services for a wide variety of concerns for individuals from the university and community and serves as a training clinic for graduate students in the Counselor Education and Supervision program.

Eligibility: 

  • Must be a Kent State student with a valid
  • KSU ID number to receive free services

Psychological Clinic offers free counseling services and psychological assessments.

Townhall II

Townhall II provides free crisis support available 24/7 over the phone. Free walk-in support is also available. Counseling services accept Medicaid for payment and can explore other payment options If uninsured, no one is turned away.

Eligibility:

  • Must be experiencing a mental health crisis to use walk-in and 24/7 crisis supports.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) provides free24/7 support for people struggling with their mental.  Programs are open to all individuals, with no strict eligibility requirements regarding diagnosis or income.
