The Graduate Student Senate (GSS) is composed of senators from all departments and programs on campus that have graduate programs on the master and doctoral level.
Through regular meetings, the senate seeks to improve graduate student life and research on campus through student initiatives and research grant funding.

Research Award, Domestic Travel Award, and International Travel Award
Applications Open: August 30th
Applications Due: September 20th
Award Notifications: October 18th
Deadline for Acceptance and Award Letters: November 1st
Special Contingency Award
The SCA is offered on a rolling basis, with an application deadline at 11:59 PM on the last Friday day of each month unless otherwise specified to correlate with University breaks.

October 4th - October 25th: Award Notifications November 4th
November 1st - November 29th: Award Notifications December 9th
November 29th - December 13th: Award Notifications December 16th
